Results show that people with HIV who suffer from other chronic diseases, have a detectable viral load in their blood, were born outside Spain and/or are over 65 years old, could have a higher risk of suffering from severe COVID-19.
The results of this study have been published in the scientific journal Archives of Bronconeumology and it has been lead by members of the Early Cancer Detection group of the Bellvitge Biomedical Research Institute (IDIBELL) and the Catalan nstitute of Oncology (ICO).
