More than € 60,000 to fight COVID-19
A recent donation from the Coordinating Association “Viladecans against Cancer” raises the scoreboard of the #BellvitgeInvestiga crowdfunding initiative to more than € 60,000.
We will use these funds to accelerate research projects against COVID-19.
The premiere of the documentary “Bellvitge, a hospital transformed by Covid-19”
The documentary narrates, with the voice of health and research personnel, the transformation of IDIBELL and the Bellvitge University Hospital to face the pandemic, from the doubling of beds for critical patients, to the launch of multiple research projects for better understanding of the new coronavirus.

Many diseases are associated with a dysregulation in blood vessel formation. Now an IDIBELL group has defined a model of pericyte maturation during vessel formation and has developed tools to study them, which could help to decipher their contribution to these diseases.
