The study shows that the involvement of certain genes that predispose to cancer also affects the immune system, which could facilitate tumor growth.
In the specific case of breast cancer, the involvement of the SH2B3 gene, corresponding to a lymphocyte protein, increases the predisposition to develop cancer.

The premiere of the documentary “Bellvitge, a hospital transformed by Covid-19”

The documentary narrates, with the voice of health and research personnel, the transformation of IDIBELL and the Bellvitge University Hospital to face the pandemic, from the doubling of beds for critical patients, to the launch of multiple research projects for better understanding of the new coronavirus.
