Board of trustees
The Board of Trustees is the highest level of authority at IDIBELL. It is presided over by the Minister of Health. The Board of Trustees represents the highest level of the institution, and among its functions, it focusses on the approval and supervision of the annual budget and the institute’s strategic plan. The current Board of Trustees is made up as follows:
Delegation Committee
The Delegation Committee carries out periodic follow-up of the administrative and management activities of the institute, as well as the functions delegated to it by the Board of Trustees. The members of the Delegation Committee are as follows:
Scientific Advisory Board (SAB)
The function of the external Scientific Advisory Board is to provide advice to the General Directorate and ensure the scientific quality of the Institute. The SAB is made up of the following world-renowned researchers:
Internal Scientific Board (CCI)
The role of the Internal Scientific Advisory Board is to provide advice for management and to ensure the scientific quality of the Institute. The Board is made up of representatives from all IDIBELL research areas:
Executive Committee
The Executive Committee aims to advise the General Management in making decisions on issues inherent to the operation of IDIBELL. The General Director, the rest of the Area Directors and those persons designated by the General Director will be permanent members. It is currently composed by the four directors and Elisenda Batlle (Head of Legal Services) and Jordi Lanuza (Head of Communication and Fundraising).
Management Team
The Management Team (hereinafter MT) is an advisory committee of the Bellvitge Biomedical Research Institute Foundation (IDIBELL) whose objective is to advise the General Management in decision-making, as well as to ensure compliance with the requirements of the interested parties (ISCIII, CERCA etc.), as well as IDIBELL's partner entities.
