3D biotechnology, protagonist of the workshop of the European project IT-LIVER in Vienna

On February 27th and 28th the University of Vienna hosted the second workshop of the European project IT-Liver, funded by the Marie Curie ITN (Initial Training Network) program of the European Commission (FP7) and coordinated by the head of the Biological clues of the invasive and metastasic phenotype research group at IDIBELL, Isabel Fabregat.

In the conference entitled “3- dimensional cell cultures and drug discovery” the three-dimensional cell models and recent advances in the use of these technologies in the validation of therapeutic targets and drug discovery took center stage.

The mission of the IT -Liver project is to provide a training program in multidisciplinary research and interesectorial aimed at young researchers to prepare them to lead research in chronic liver disease and drug discovery in Europe.
