Act 9/20017, of November 8th, on Public Sector Hiring was published in the BOE on 8th November 2017. The main objective of this norm is to regulate the recruitment of the public sector, with the purpose, among others, of guaranteeing compliance with the principles of freedom of access to tenders, publicity, transparency of procedures and non-discrimination and equality of treatment among candidates.

This Act transposes Directive 2014/23/UE, of the European Parliament and of the Council, of 26th February 2014, on the coordination of the procedures for the award of public contracts for works, supplies and services, adn 2014/24/UE, of 26th February 2014, on public procurement.
