Summary
The Emergency and emergent processes research group was founded with the aim of promoting, developing, and consolidating scientific knowledge in the field of urgent and emergent care, both in outpatient and inpatient environtments. Our goal is to contribute to improving patient care in life-threatening or clinically unstable situations through research.
We are a multidisciplinary team made up of healthcare professionals with extensive experience in emergency medicine, clinical research, and healthcare management.
Our main research lines include:
Risk stratification and decision-making in the urgent care of patients with atrial fibrillation.
The use of emerging diagnostic technologies and tools.
Management of patients with acute heart failure.
Efficiency and safety in emergency care settings.
Care of older people in urgent and emergency care.
Prevalent infections and sepsis in emergency departments.
