Five students for laboratory technician from Portugal visited today IDIBELL facilities. On arrival, the laboratory technician from the Neurometabolic diseases research group Juan Jose Martínez has talk about the work of laboratory technicians in a research centre as the IDIBELL. Then, the students have visited the animal facilities, where technician Rosa Bonavia explained the functioning of the installation. Then they have gone to the ICO translational research laboratory, where the researcher Maria Martinez, from the Chemoresistance and predictive factors to tumour response and stromal microenvirontment research group has explained the work carried out in a laboratory and spoken on the model of research carried out with the worm C. elegans.
The visit has ended in the platforms where the technician Montserrat Lema has spoken on genomic and cytomics analysis tools installed in the unit.
The event has been organized by the company European Project Development, based in the city of Montijo, Portugal, dedicated to the development and coordination of mobility projects of the European Union (Lifelong Learning Program – Leonardo Da Vinci, Erasmus and Grundtvig).
