On September 21st, an “Oportunidades en H2020 SC1 2018-20” workshop was held in the Pau Viladiu hall of Duran i Reynals Hospital. This session was jointly organized by IDIBELL’s Research Support Office and ICO’s Research Management Unit on the occasion of the imminent opening of calls for the Work Program of the H2020 Social Challenge 1 for the years 2018 in 2020, scheduled for December.

The purpose of the session, which was attended by nearly 80 participants, was to present funding topics and tools, and to share experiences with experienced beneficiaries and evaluators. In this sense, the interventions of Juan Riese, National Contact of the Social Challenge 1, and Gonzalo Arévalo, National Contact for legal and financial matters, were of an eminently practical nature.

The session ended with a highly participative roundtable with Izabel Alfany, from LEITAT Health, who shared her experience as an evaluator of H2020 projects, and Dr. Felipe García, from the Department of Infectious diseases at Hospital Clínic / IDIBAPS, which has coordinated FP7 and H2020 projects.
