IDIBELL prepares the Human Resources Strategy for Researchers 2014-2017

The European Commission has adopted the “European Charter for Researchers” and the “Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers” as key elements to encourage the mobility of researchers and the harmonization of their work conditions across Europe. IDIBELL endorsed the principles outlined by these two documents on August 1st 2013. Some of the highlights covered by the Charter and Code are:

A working group with representation from the different professional categories in IDIBELL have initiated the task of preparing the IDIBELL Human Resources Strategy for Researchers 2014-2017 (HRS4R).

The Human Resources Strategy for Researchers aims to assess the policies and actions on human resources of the institution and to design an action plan allowing a better alignment with the forty principles outlined in the Charter and Code.

Over the next few weeks there will be surveys addressed to the IDIBELL staff together with sectorial meetings, in order to collect the necessary data for conducting the gap analysis of the institution. The engagement and participation of the staff of the institution in these actions is key in order to get a diagnosis that accurately reflects the concerns and needs of the whole of the IDIBELL members.
