Students of the University of Leiden visit IDIBELL within their route around the research done Spain

On Monday April 28th, a group of medical students at the University of Leiden, The Netherlands, has known a little bit about the research conducted in the IDIBELL. This visit is part of the study tour that the association of students of the Faculty of Medicine, Leiden organizes every year for several research institutes from different countries. This year their journey leads them to Madrid and Barcelona.

During his visit to IDIBELL students have known the Transplant Unit pancreatic islets (UTIP), the Institute of Neuropathology and the laboratories of Epigenetics and Cancer Biology Program. Frank Reinink, medical student and one of the organizers of the trip, explained that they were impressed about “the quality of the research done in the IDIBELL and diversity of research areas being studied”.

Besides IDIBELL, in Barcelona Leiden students have visited the University of Barcelona and CRMB. In previous editions of this study tour they visited New York, Tel Aviv or Morocco.
