On Saturday, April 29th, at 6pm, RCD Espanyol will organize a Health Day, coinciding with the RCD Espanyol – FC Barcelona game, in the RCDEstilShop area surrounding the Cornellà El Prat Stadium (entry through Baix Llobregat avenue). This event, organized by the sports club together with the Health Department and the City Council of Cornellà, aims to promote healthy living habits in health and sport for disease prevention and health, and will have the active participation of the IDIBELL.
The main activity of the Day will be a blood donation campaign; all those who donate blood will inmediately get a free invitation for RCDE – Valencia game in return. In order to offer a participative day, a series of activities focusing on health and disease prevention aimed at the whole family will also be offered, ranging from the promotion of food and physical activity in children, to preventive activities for adults, and awareness regarding blood donation, among others.
As for IDIBELL and ICO, researchers linked to the blog Mejor sin Cáncer (www.mejorsincancer.org) will disseminate the research work of the institutions, distribute prevention materials and give advice regarding cancer prevention based on healthy habits , healthy eating and physical activity. In addition, researchers from the Smoking research group will perform spirometries and co-oximetries for free to those interested.
This Health Day has the support of the Public Health Agency, the Blood and Tissue Bank, the Red Cross, the Spanish Association against Cancer, IDIBELL, the Spanish Society of Pharmacists and Farmapericos, the Catalan Federation of Adapted Sports and Afrucat, among others, who will be responsible for the organizations of the activities aimed at all audiences.
