The director of the Innovation and Business Development area of Bellvitge Biomedical Research Institute (IDIBELL), Raquel Egea, together with Dr. Jaume Reventós, Coordinator of Strategy and Institutional Relations of the General Directorate for Research and Innovation in Health of Generalitat of Catalonia, participated last October 26th and 27th in the ninth edition of Medesalud 2016, the main innovation in health
academic and networking
event in Colombia.
As part of the academic programme, Raquel Egea offered the presentation “Innovation in hospitals, experiences in Europe”, while Dr. Reventós spoke about “Models of research and innovation in health”, discussing the experience of Catalonia as a model. “Many different institutions linked to health, both public and private, regard the evolution of Innovation in Catalonia as a model to follow, and there is a willingness to raise potential synergies”, says Egea.
Medesalud 2016 received more than 350 participants in its ninth edition, presenting the latest updates of the health market in Medellín, Colombia. The event was an exceptional opportunity to establish contacts with industry leaders in the Latin American region and share knowledge on health and innovation at the international, national and regional levels.
