The register reveals previously unpublished data on the epidemiology, clinical practices and prognosis of neuroendocrine gastroenteropancreatic tumors in Spain, and provides information to improve understanding of regional disparities in the incidence of tumours, patterns of care and survival in this heterogeneous pathology, in different continents. This multicenter scientific work has been led by the researcher Rocio Garcia-Carbonero, at Virgen del Rocío Hospital in Seville, and it has got the cooperation of researchers from the University of Barcelona.

The Endocrine Tumors Spanish Group (GETNE) is chaired by Ramon Salazar and was created in 2005 to improve the diagnosis and the treatment of patients with neuroendocrine tumors.
