La recerca del grup de Metabolisme i Senyals Cel\u00b7lulars de l\u2019Institut d\u2019Investigacions Biom\u00e8diques Alberto Sols liderat per Juan Manuel Zapata se centra en l\u2019estudi de la regulaci\u00f3 dels receptors de TNF, la fam\u00edlia de prote\u00efnes TRAF i com els canvis d\u2019expressi\u00f3 an\u00f2mals d\u2019aquestes prote\u00efnes poden estar implicats en el desenvolupament de leuc\u00e8mies o limfomes. Zapata ha explicat els seus aven\u00e7os en la sessi\u00f3 del cicle de seminaris IDIBELL celebrada el 8 de juliol.<\/strong>
<\/strong> \u201cLa millor manera de comprovar si un factor est\u00e0 implicat en l\u2019etiologia d\u2019una malaltia \u00e9s modificant-ne l\u2019expressi\u00f3 en un model animal de la mateixa manera que passa en el pacient hum\u00e0\u201d ha explicat Zapata. \u201cSi la modificaci\u00f3 \u00e9s la causant de la transformaci\u00f3, el ratol\u00ed desenvolupar\u00e0 la malaltia\u201d. El grup de Zapata ha aconseguit un model transg\u00e8nic de ratol\u00ed que desenvolupa un fenotip concret de leuc\u00e8mia limf\u00e0tica cr\u00f2nica. <\/p>\n

Un cop caracteritzat el model de malaltia en el ratol\u00ed, el seg\u00fcent pas \u00e9s trobar \u201cnous f\u00e0rmacs i noves ter\u00e0pies<\/p>\n

que benefici\u00efn al ratol\u00ed perqu\u00e8 tindrem probabilitats que tamb\u00e9 puguin beneficiar els pacients humans\u201d. <\/p>\n

La leuc\u00e8mia limf\u00e0tica cr\u00f2nica presenta fenotips complexes i amb etiologies diverses. Per aix\u00f2 Zapata adverteix que un cop s\u2019ha desenvolupat el model animal \u201cno podem esperar que funcioni per a tots els pacients, s\u2019ha de buscar el fenotip concret entre els pacients per poder aplicar-los els descobriments que fem en el model animal\u201d. \u201cPer arribar a la medicina personalitzada, \u00e9s important tenir models animals espec\u00edfics per a diversos subtipus de malalties\u201d. <\/p>\n

A m\u00e9s del ratol\u00ed transg\u00e8nic de leuc\u00e8mia limf\u00e0tica cr\u00f2nica, Zapata treballa actualment amb altres models animals de limfoma dif\u00fas de c\u00e8l\u00b7lules B grans i de nanisme de Mulibrey.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
