Una alta adhesi\u00f3 a la dieta mediterr\u00e0nia redueix en un 6% el risc de patir c\u00e0ncer de mama en la poblaci\u00f3 femenina en general, i en un 7% en dones post-menop\u00e0usiques. En l’estudi, publicat a l\u2019International Journal of Cancer, hi han participat 335.062 dones d’entre 35 i 70 anys. \u00c9s l’estudi epidemiol\u00f2gic m\u00e9s gran realitzat al m\u00f3n que mostra els beneficis de l’adhesi\u00f3 a la dieta mediterr\u00e0nia en el c\u00e0ncer de mama<\/p>\n

Un estudi del projecte EPIC, liderat per investigadors de l\u2019ICO-IDIBELL, i que publica la revista International Journal of Cancer, confirma els beneficis de la dieta mediterr\u00e0nia en la prevenci\u00f3 del c\u00e0ncer de mama.<\/p>\n

En concret, els resultats de l’estudi mostren que l’alta adhesi\u00f3 a la dieta mediterr\u00e0nia redueix en un 6% el risc de patir c\u00e0ncer de mama en la poblaci\u00f3 femenina en general, i en un 7% en dones post-menop\u00e0usiques. En els casos de tumors amb receptors hormonals negatius d’estrogen i progesterona, la dieta redueix el risc en un 20% en dones post-menop\u00e0usiques.<\/p>\n

En aquestes estimacions s’ha excl\u00f2s del patr\u00f3 de dieta mediterr\u00e0nia el consum moderat d’alcohol, per ser un factor de risc reconegut del c\u00e0ncer de mama. Altres estudis recents estan demostrant que l’efecte benefici\u00f3s de la dieta sobre el c\u00e0ncer de mama \u00e9s major precisament en dones post-menop\u00e0usiques amb receptors hormonals negatius.<\/p>\n

El projecte EPIC<\/strong><\/p>\n

El treball forma part del projecte EPIC (European Prospective Investigation into Cancer and Nutrition study), un estudi prospectiu format per cohorts de poblaci\u00f3 procedents de 23 centres de 10 pa\u00efsos europeus (Dinamarca, Fran\u00e7a, Alemanya, Gr\u00e8cia, It\u00e0lia, Pa\u00efsos Baixos, Noruega, Espanya, Su\u00e8cia i Regne Unit).<\/p>\n

En l’estudi hi han participat 335.062 dones d’entre 35 i 70 anys entre 1992 i 2000 i est\u00e0 liderat per investigadors de la Unitat de Nutrici\u00f3, Ambient i C\u00e0ncer (UNEC) de l\u2019ICO, amb Genevieve Buckland, Carlos Alberto Gonz\u00e1lez Svatetz, Noemie Travier i Antoni Agudo. \u00c9s l’estudi epidemiol\u00f2gic m\u00e9s gran realitzat al m\u00f3n en el qual es mostren els beneficis de l’adhesi\u00f3 a la dieta mediterr\u00e0nia amb el c\u00e0ncer de mama.<\/p>\n

C\u00e0ncer de mama i dieta mediterr\u00e0nia<\/strong><\/p>\n

El c\u00e0ncer de mama \u00e9s el c\u00e0ncer m\u00e9s com\u00fa en dones. S’estima que a Catalunya una de cada nou dones tindr\u00e0 un c\u00e0ncer de mama al llarg de la seva vida, sent la taxa d’incid\u00e8ncia una mica superior a la de l’estat espanyol i relativament similar a la de la mitjana de la Uni\u00f3 Europea.<\/p>\n

Els beneficis de la tradicional dieta mediterr\u00e0nia es deriven sobretot de la seva riquesa en fruites, verdures, oli d’oliva, fruita seca, llegums i per ser una dieta equilibrada en \u00e0cids grassos, amb baix consum de greixos saturats (d’origen animal).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
