El passat divendres 10 de febrer, la Comissi\u00f3 d\u2019Igualtat de l\u2019Institut d\u2019Investigaci\u00f3 Biom\u00e8dica de Bellvitge (IDIBELL) va organitzar la taula rodona \u201cDones i Ci\u00e8ncia: present, passat i futur\u201d en motiu de la celebraci\u00f3 del Dia Internacional de la dona i la nena en la ci\u00e8ncia (11 de febrer). Aquesta data \u00e9s l\u2019escollida per les Nacions Unides amb la idea de promoure les perspectives de carrera de les dones en la ci\u00e8ncia i de recon\u00e8ixer els seus \u00e8xits en aquests camp.<\/p>\n
La taula rodona \u201cDones i Ci\u00e8ncia: present, passat i futur\u201d va intentar oferir una visi\u00f3 de la situaci\u00f3 actual de la dona en l\u2019\u00e0mbit cient\u00edfic a trav\u00e9s de dos eixos cronol\u00f2gics: l\u2019hist\u00f2ric i el relatiu a les diferents fases de la carrera professional en ci\u00e8ncia. Per fer-ho la taula va comptar amb la participaci\u00f3 de la dra. Virginia Nunes, cap del programa de recerca IDIBELL en Gens, Malaltia i Ter\u00e0pia; la dra. Ruth de Diego,<\/p>\n
investigadora ICREA en Neuroci\u00e8ncia cognitiva del Llenguatge; la dra. Marina Rigau,<\/p>\n
adjunta a la direcci\u00f3 IDIBELL; la dra. Estela C\u00e1mara,<\/p>\n
investigadora Miguel Servet en Connectivitat cerebral; la dra. Anna Portela,<\/p>\n
CEO de Xenopat,<\/p>\n
spin-off<\/em><\/p>\n IDIBELL dedicada a l\u2019oncologia personalitzada, i la dra. Laura Costas, investigadora IDIBELL, epidemi\u00f2loga i coordinadora del blog \u201cMejor sin C\u00e1ncer\u201d. <\/p>\n La taula, moderada per Gemma Fornons, va comen\u00e7ar explorant les difer\u00e8ncies entre homes i dones pel que fa a la motivaci\u00f3 cap a carreres cient\u00edfiques en les etapes educatives. La necessitat de tractar el paper actual de la dona en ci\u00e8ncia com un problema<\/p>\n social global lligat a paradigmes culturals, la manca de referents femenins en els mitjans i llibres de text i la baixa autoestima de les nenes pel que fa a les ci\u00e8ncies i les seves habilitats de lideratge van ser alguns dels temes comentats per les participants. <\/p>\n Pel que fa a la influ\u00e8ncia del g\u00e8nere en les en relaci\u00f3 a les possibilitats d\u2019estabilitzaci\u00f3 com a investigador o en la progressi\u00f3 professional, un dels temes m\u00e9s debatuts va ser la conveni\u00e8ncia de les quotes de g\u00e8nere en les entitats cient\u00edfiques o projectes competitius: s\u00f3n el resultat d\u2019un esfor\u00e7 per afavorir la igualtat, o estigmatitzen a la dona que les representa? En qualsevol cas, les ponents van estar d\u2019acord en afirmar que no podrem parlar d\u2019igualtat entre homes i dones a aquest nivell mentre sigui necessari establir-la a trav\u00e9s de regles imposades, tant a nivell acad\u00e8mic com d\u2019ind\u00fastria. <\/p>\n La maternitat com a element determinant de l\u2019anomenat \u201csostre de vidre\u201d per a les dones en ci\u00e8ncia va ser l\u2019altre gran tema comentat no nom\u00e9s per les ponents, sin\u00f3 per l\u2019audi\u00e8ncia assistent, formada majorit\u00e0riament per dones. Diverses intervencions van fer palesa la dificultat que suposa avui en dia conciliar la maternitat amb una carrera cient\u00edfica desenvolupada en un entorn altament competitiu. Aconseguir l\u2019estabilitzaci\u00f3 o un c\u00e0rrec de responsabilitat moltes vegades es vist com quelcom acompanyat d\u2019un sacrifici impl\u00edcit a nivell personal o de la necessitat d\u2019associar lideratge actituds agressives que s\u00f3n vistes de forma diferent en homes i dones. <\/p>\n Durant el torn de preguntes, diverses investigadores i treballadores de l\u2019IDIBELL van exposar les seves experi\u00e8ncies, dificultats i perspectives de futur com a dones en l\u2019\u00e0mbit cient\u00edfic. La necessitat d\u2019implementar millors pol\u00edtiques de conciliaci\u00f3 familiar que impliquin tant a pares com a mares, la possibilitat de crear o consolidar lobbies femenins en ci\u00e8ncia o b\u00e9 lluitar contra els formats exclusivament per homes, i algunes mesures i idees per fer front a la discriminaci\u00f3 van ser alguns dels temes tractats i difosos a trav\u00e9s de Twitter amb el hashtag #donesIDIBELL.
