Les institucions del Campus de Bellvitge acullen l\u2019exposici\u00f3 \u2018Maria Curie, una polonesa a Paris\u2019. Aquesta exposici\u00f3 itinerant s\u2019ha portat des de Madrid gr\u00e0cies a la iniciativa de l\u2019Institut Catal\u00e0 d\u2019Oncologia amb la col\u00b7laboraci\u00f3 de l\u2019IDIBELL i l\u2019Hospital Universitari de Bellvitge per tal de visibilitzar el paper de la dona en la ci\u00e8ncia. Creada amb la col\u00b7laboraci\u00f3 del Consejo Superiorde Investigaciones Cient\u00edficas, i les ambaixades de Fran\u00e7a i Pol\u00f2nia, l\u2019exposici\u00f3 t\u00e9 com a objectiu difondre la vida i obra de la cient\u00edfica en motiu del 150\u00e8 aniversari del seu naixement. <\/p>\n
L\u2019exposici\u00f3 romandr\u00e0 exposada: <\/p>\n
Una mostra per a reivindicar la figura de Marie Curie<\/strong> <\/p>\n L\u2019exposici\u00f3 mostra la vida de la cient\u00edfica a trav\u00e9s de vint plafons i es divideix en cinc seccions. Les tres primeres fan un recorregut per la vida de la il\u00b7lustre cient\u00edfica, la quarta mostra la seva vinculaci\u00f3 amb l\u2019estat espanyol a trav\u00e9s de tres viatges que hi va realitzar i la cinquena els seus descendents. En els vint panells que conformen l\u2019exposici\u00f3 es pot veure la seva entrega a la investigaci\u00f3, el seu constant i labori\u00f3s treball al laboratori aix\u00ed com la seva faceta m\u00e9s humana i solid\u00e0ria. Destaca en aquest recorregut la desconeguda labor durant la Primera Guerra Mundial, conduint els famosos \u201ccotxes Curie\u201d amb els que feia radiografies a milers de soldats facilitant aix\u00ed la tasca d\u2019extracci\u00f3 de projectils i bales que van evitar moltes amputacions i que va salvar moltes vides. Maria Sklodowska-Curie (Vars\u00f2via, 1867-Sallanches, 1934) va ser f\u00edsica i qu\u00edmica polonesa pionera en els estudis de les radiacions. Va rebre el Premi Nobel de F\u00edsica el 1903, juntamentamb el seu marit Pierre Curie i Henri Becquerel, pels seus descobriments en el camp de laradioactivitat. L\u2019any 1911 va rebre el Premi Nobel de Qu\u00edmica per l\u2019a\u00efllament del radi pur. Marie va ser nacionalitzada francesa i va ser una ciutadana activament lleial al seu no pa\u00eds. Defet, el 20 d\u2019abril de l\u2019any 1995, les seves despulles van ser solemnement traslladades al Pante\u00f3 dels Homes Il\u00b7lustres de Fran\u00e7a i es va convertir en la primera dona, nascuda fora de Fran\u00e7a,que ha rebut aquest honor. De totes maneres ella mai va perdre la seva identitat polonesa, i el primer element qu\u00edmic que va descobrir, al 1898, el va anomenar Poloni com a homenatge al seu pa\u00eds d\u2019origen.
