La prestigiosa revista internacional \u2018European Journal of Nutrition\u2019 ha publicat un estudi que demostra que el consum moderat d\u2019ous -fins a un ou al dia o set ous per setmana no comporta efectes negatius en la salut ni t\u00e9 relaci\u00f3 directa amb la superviv\u00e8ncia.\u00a0Aquesta \u00e9s la principal conclusi\u00f3 a la que ha arribat un equip d\u2019investigadors encap\u00e7alat\u00a0per l\u2019investigador del grup de Nutrici\u00f3 i C\u00e0ncer de l\u2019IDIBELL, Ra\u00fal Zamora-Ros, i que ha\u00a0comptat amb la col\u00b7laboraci\u00f3 de cinc prestigiosos centres m\u00e9s d\u2019Epidemiologia i Salut\u00a0P\u00fablica d\u2019arreu de l\u2019Estat liderats per cap de la Unitat de Nutrici\u00f3 i C\u00e0ncer de l\u2019Institut\u00a0Catal\u00e0 d\u2019Oncologia (ICO), Antoni Agudo. Aquest estudi ha rebut el premi d\u2019investigaci\u00f3\u00a0del 2016 de l\u2019Institut d\u2019Estudis de l\u2019Ou i ha estat portat a terme de forma independent per\u00a0l\u2019equip d\u2019investigaci\u00f3 durant els seg\u00fcents dos anys.<\/p>\n
\u201cAquest estudi permet recomanar a la poblaci\u00f3 general el consum moderat d\u2019ous, fins a un ou al dia, dins d\u2019una dieta variada i saludable, com podria ser la dieta mediterr\u00e0nia\u201d,\u00a0explica el Dr. Zamora-Ros. \u201cNo hem pogut investigar consums superiors; no obstant, seria interessant poder repetir l\u2019estudi en altres poblacions i fer un meta-an\u00e0lisi amb tota\u00a0l\u2019evid\u00e8ncia que hi ha fins ara, per confirmar els nostres resultats\u201d, afegeix.<\/p>\n
Un\u00a0estudi amb m\u00e9s de 40.000 participants d\u2019arreu de l\u2019Estat<\/strong><\/h4>\n Aquest estudi s\u2019ha portat a terme en la cohort EPIC-Espanya (European Prospective\u00a0Investigation into Cancer and Nutrition Study) de m\u00e9s de 40.000 homes i dones amb\u00a0edats compreses entre 29 i 69 anys, provinents de les prov\u00edncies d\u2019Ast\u00faries, Granada, Guip\u00fascoa, Murcia i Navarra, reclutades entre els anys 1992 i 1996 i seguides fins a\u00a02011-2013 depenent de cada centre.Tots els participants de l\u2019estudi eren persones sanes, majorit\u00e0riament donants de sang, i\u00a0van donar el seu consentiment per a participar en aquest estudi. Per altra banda, els\u00a0investigadors van poder obtenir, posteriorment, la data i causa de la mort dels participants difunts durant el seguiment gr\u00e0cies a l\u2019Institut Nacional d\u2019Estad\u00edstica. Pel que\u00a0fa al consum d\u2019ous de cada participant es va estimar gr\u00e0cies a un q\u00fcestionari de dieta\u00a0realitzada durant una entrevista personal a l\u2019inici de l\u2019estudi.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n Durant els 18 anys de seguiment de l\u2019estudi, es van poder observar 3.561 defuncions de les quals 1.694 van ser a causa de c\u00e0ncer, 761 de malalties cardiovasculars i 870 a\u00a0causa d\u2019altres factors. El consum mitj\u00e0 d\u2019ous dels participants en l\u2019estudi va ser al voltant\u00a0de mig ou diari (22 grams\/dia en dones i 31 grams\/dia en homes), considerant que un ou\u00a0est\u00e0ndard pesa aproximadament 50 grams (la seva porci\u00f3 comestible).\u00a0El percentatge de participants que no consumien ous va ser nom\u00e9s del 5% i el\u00a0percentatge dels que menjaven m\u00e9s d\u2019un ou al dia (50 grams\/dia) va ser menor al 10%. \u00c9s per aquest motiu que, el consum d\u2019ous per part d\u2019aqueta poblaci\u00f3 va ser moderat i els\u00a0resultats no poden ser extrapolats a consums superiors. En aquest estudi no es va\u00a0observar cap diferencia significativa en la superviv\u00e8ncia total -ni per c\u00e0ncer ni per\u00a0malaltia cardiovascular- entre els consumidors m\u00e9s elevats d\u2019ou (\u226530 i \u226543 grams\/dia en\u00a0dones i homes respectivament).\u00a0<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cEn properes fases d\u2019estudi, no obstant, seria interessant investigar l\u2019associaci\u00f3 entre elconsum d\u2019ou i el risc de patir malalties neurodegeneratives, com el Parkinson o l\u2019Alzheimer, ja que els nostres resultats suggereixen una possible
