Un major consum de begudes tipus refresc, tant les que tenen sucre com les endolcides artificialment, s\u2019associa amb un augment del risc de mort. Aquesta \u00e9s la conclusi\u00f3 que destaca un estudi basat en la poblaci\u00f3 de prop de 452.000 persones d\u2019ambd\u00f3s sexes i repartits en 10 pa\u00efsos europeus i on hi ha participat investigadors de l\u2019equip de Nutrici\u00f3 i C\u00e0ncer de l\u2019Institut Catal\u00e0 d\u2019Oncologia (ICO) i de l\u2019Institut d\u2019Investigaci\u00f3 Biom\u00e8dica de Bellvitge (IDIBELL).<\/p>\n

Beure dos o m\u00e9s gots al dia (en comparaci\u00f3 amb menys d\u2019un got al mes) de refrescos endolcits amb sucre o endolcits artificialment s\u2019ha associat amb un major risc de mort per totes les causes. Addicionalment es va trobar un risc m\u00e9s elevat de mort per malalties circulat\u00f2ries associades a consumir dos o m\u00e9s gots al dia de begudes refrescants i un major risc de mort per malalties digestives associades a beure\u2019n un o m\u00e9s d\u2019un got al dia. Per altra banda no es va observar cap associaci\u00f3 entre el consum de begudes refrescants i la mortalitat per c\u00e0ncer.<\/p>\n

Aquests s\u00f3n els principals resultats de l\u2019an\u00e0lisi de dades de l\u2019estudi EPIC (European Prospective Investigation into Cancer and Nutrition), corresponents a un seguiment de 16 anys, per\u00edode en el que es van produir 41.693 morts. El consum de begudes refrescants es va recollir en q\u00fcestionaris de dieta durant el per\u00edode 1992-2000. L\u2019estudi inclou participants de Dinamarca, Fran\u00e7a, Alemanya, Gr\u00e8cia, It\u00e0lia, Pa\u00efsos Baixos, Noruega, Su\u00e8cia, el Regne Unit i l\u2019Estat espanyol. A Espanya l\u2019estudi EPIC inclou participants d\u2019Ast\u00faries, Guip\u00fascoa, Navarra, M\u00farcia i Granada, amb la coordinaci\u00f3 de l\u2019Institut Catal\u00e0 d\u2019Oncologia (ICO).<\/p>\n
