La ter\u00e0pia antiangiog\u00e8nica \u00e9s una de les principals estrat\u00e8gies contra els tumors s\u00f2lids. Aquesta ter\u00e0pia inhibeixen la formaci\u00f3 de vasos sanguinis en els tumors, reduint aix\u00ed el subministrament d\u2019oxigen i nutrients, i en conseq\u00fc\u00e8ncia reduint el creixement tumoral. No obstant, aquest estrat\u00e8gia terap\u00e8utica presenta certes limitacions, ja que en algunes ocasions, produeix un augment de l\u2019agressivitat dels tumors, i per tant, de les met\u00e0stasis. Con\u00e8ixer les bases biol\u00f2giques i moleculars que porten els tumors a augmentar la seva agressivitat \u00e9s b\u00e0sic per predir com i quan la ter\u00e0pia antiangiog\u00e8nica funcionar\u00e0, i m\u00e9s important, millorar-ne la seva efic\u00e0cia per ampliar la superviv\u00e8ncia dels pacients.<\/p>\n
Les c\u00e8l\u00b7lules canceroses no nom\u00e9s formen una massa tumoral de c\u00e8l\u00b7lules mutades que es divideixen descontroladament. En realitat, formen part d\u2019un ecosistema molt complex format per diferents tipus cel\u00b7lulars<\/strong> que treballen i es comuniquen de maneres conjunta dins d\u2019una matriu extracel\u00b7lular que les aguanta i protegeix. Tot aquest conjunt de c\u00e8l\u00b7lules i mol\u00e8cules complexes \u00e9s el que anomenem microambient tumoral.<\/p>\n La formaci\u00f3 i progressi\u00f3 de tumors est\u00e0 estretament lligada a la interacci\u00f3 entre els diferents components que formen el microambient tumoral, i un dels actors principals dins aquest ecosistema \u00e9s la angiog\u00e8nesi, la formaci\u00f3 de vasos sanguinis. Felix Peix<\/strong> i Oriol Casanovas<\/strong>, cap del grup de recerca en Angiog\u00e8nesi Tumoral<\/a> de l\u2019IDIBELL i de l\u2019ICO, acaben de publicar un article a la revista Seminars in Cancer Biology<\/em> <\/a>\u00a0que repassa tot el que es coneix sobre com la remodelaci\u00f3 del microamibient tumoral per part de la ter\u00e0pia antiangiog\u00e8nica podria ser l\u2019instigadora del augment de la agressivitat tumoral.<\/p>\n L\u2019article repassa com els antiangiog\u00e8nics produeixen hip\u00f2xia, estr\u00e8s mec\u00e0nic i acidificaci\u00f3 del microambient tumoral, i com tots aquets canvis s\u00f3n detectats per les c\u00e8l\u00b7lules tumorals a partir de receptors de superf\u00edcie. En conseq\u00fc\u00e8ncia, aquets receptors inicien casades de senyalitzaci\u00f3 per induir canvis en les c\u00e8l\u00b7lules tumorals<\/strong> que les ajudin adaptar-se en aquest nou ambient.<\/p>\n Felix Peix<\/strong> i Oriol Casanovas<\/strong> declaren: \u201cUtilitzar ter\u00e0pies que bloquegin l\u2019acci\u00f3 d\u2019aquets receptors i sensors cel\u00b7lulars podria resultat un tractament molt efectiu per prevenir que les c\u00e8l\u00b7lules tumorals augmentin la seva agressivitat despr\u00e9s de la ter\u00e0pia antiangiog\u00e8nica<\/em>\u201d.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n L\u2019Institut d’Investigaci\u00f3 Biom\u00e8dica de Bellvitge (IDIBELL) \u00e9s un centre de recerca en biomedicina creat l\u2019any 2004. Est\u00e0 participat per l’Hospital Universitari de Bellvitge i l\u2019Hospital de Viladecans de l’Institut Catal\u00e0 de la Salut, l’Institut Catal\u00e0 d’Oncologia, la Universitat de Barcelona i l\u2019Ajuntament de l\u2019Hospitalet de Llobregat.<\/em><\/p>\n L\u2019IDIBELL \u00e9s membre del Campus d’Excel\u00b7l\u00e8ncia Internacional de la Universitat de Barcelona HUBc i forma part de la instituci\u00f3 CERCA de la Generalitat de Catalunya. L’any 2009 es va convertir en un dels cinc primers centres d\u2019investigaci\u00f3 espanyols acreditats com a institut d\u2019investigaci\u00f3 sanit\u00e0ria per l\u2019Instituto de Salud Carlos III. A m\u00e9s, forma part del programa \u201cHR Excellence in Research\u201d de la Uni\u00f3 Europea i \u00e9s membre de EATRIS i REGIC.
