L’interfer\u00f3 \u00e9s la resposta antiviral clau de la c\u00e8l\u00b7lula i quan el sistema immunitari envelleix, augmenten els autoanticossos contra les prote\u00efnes pr\u00f2pies<\/strong>\u201d.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n
Els nous resultats mostren que, en global, un 13,6% dels pacients amb COVID-19 tenen aquest tipus d\u2019autoanticossos. El percentatge augmenta fins el 20% en pacients majors de 80 anys amb aquesta condici\u00f3, el que en part explicaria l\u2019increment del risc per COVID-19 greu en el cas de la gent gran. \u201cLa import\u00e0ncia de la resposta a l’interfer\u00f3 es posa de manifest en la prevalen\u00e7a dels autoanticossos contra l’interfer\u00f3 de les persones que van morir, \u00e9s el principal factor de mal pron\u00f2stic trobat fins ara i augmenta amb l’edat<\/strong>\u201d, afirma la Dra. Pujol.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n
Cal destacar que aquests autoanticossos s\u00f3n una causa i no una conseq\u00fc\u00e8ncia de la infecci\u00f3 per SARS-CoV-2, i que es troben tamb\u00e9 a la poblaci\u00f3 general i incrementen amb l\u2019edat. En menors de 70 anys, entre un 0,17 i un 1,1% dels individus tenen autoanticossos i, en majors de 70, es troben en entre un 1,4% i un 4,4%. Entre 80 i 85 anys s\u2019observa un increment de fins a 4,2-7,1%. \u201cAmb l\u2019edat, el sistema immunitari es va envellint: \u00e9s el que es coneix com a immunosenesc\u00e8ncia. Aix\u00f2 fa que sigui m\u00e9s probable que apareguin fen\u00f2mens d\u2019autoimmunitat com aquest\u201d<\/strong>, raona el Dr. Soler.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n
Per a aquesta an\u00e0lisi, els investigadors van estudiar mostres de sang de 3.595 pacients hospitalitzats per COVID-19 cr\u00edtica, 623 pacients greus, 1.639 pacients amb infecci\u00f3 lleu o asimptom\u00e0tica i 34.159 individus sans per estudiar si tenien aquest tipus d\u2019autoanticossos.<\/p>\n

Els autors del treball, entre els quals tamb\u00e9 hi ha els Drs Xavier Solanich, Ra\u00fcl Rigo i Francisco Morandeira, de l’IDIBELL i l’Hospital Universitari de Bellvitge, insisteixen en la import\u00e0ncia de con\u00e8ixer els factors que influeixen en la resposta davant el SARS-CoV-2 i esperen que obri portes a ter\u00e0pies dirigides en funci\u00f3 del perfil de cada pacient.<\/p>\n

\u201cCal analitzar la pres\u00e8ncia d\u2019aquests autoanticossos i vacunar primer aquestes persones; tractar-los tan aviat com es pugui amb interfer\u00f3 beta o anticossos monoclonals contra el virus; hospitalitzar-los preventivament; i, si ja hi ha pneum\u00f2nia, estudiar si les transfusions de plasma (plasmaf\u00e8resi) pot ser beneficiosa. En tot cas, s\u2019ha de testar que el plasma donant no tingui aquests autoanticossos, que es troben en un 0.7% de les persones sanes joves<\/strong>\u201d, conclou la Dra.
