L’esquizofr\u00e8nia \u00e9s un trastorn neuropsiqui\u00e0tric greu que es manifesta a trav\u00e9s d’al\u00b7lucinacions, deliris i trastorns de comportament i motors. Hist\u00f2ricament, aquesta malaltia ha estat associada a una hiperactivaci\u00f3 dels circuits neuronals dopamin\u00e8rgics<\/strong>, el qu\u00e8, segons una hip\u00f2tesi recent, podria estar vinculat a una disminuci\u00f3 de la transmissi\u00f3 adenosin\u00e8rgica<\/strong>, la seva via inhibidora, al nostre cervell. Aix\u00ed doncs, es postula que la disminuci\u00f3 del contingut d\u2019adenosina, dels seus receptors i\/o l\u2019alteraci\u00f3 de les interaccions d\u2019aquest receptors podria estar darrera d\u2019aquest desequilibri en la neurotransmissi\u00f3 dopamin\u00e8rgica.<\/p>\n

Un equip de l’Institut d’Investigaci\u00f3 Biom\u00e8dica de Bellvitge (IDIBELL<\/a>), la Facultat de Medicina i Ci\u00e8ncies de la Salut i l’Institut de Neuroci\u00e8ncies de la Universitat de Barcelona (UBNeuro<\/a>), liderat pel Dr. Francisco Ciruela, ha detectat en models animals i mostres postmorten<\/em> de pacients d\u2019esquizofr\u00e8nia una reducci\u00f3 en la interacci\u00f3 entre els receptors de dopamina i d\u2019adenosina<\/strong>, el que explicaria la sobreestimulaci\u00f3 de la via dopamin\u00e8rgica observada en aquest pacients. A m\u00e9s, els resultats mostren que aquesta alteraci\u00f3 \u00e9s independent dels nivells d’expressi\u00f3 d’ambd\u00f3s receptors.<\/p>\n

Els resultats posen el focus en la manca d’interacci\u00f3 entre els receptors neuronals per explicar el desequilibri observat en l’esquizofr\u00e8nia<\/em>” apunta el Dr. Ciruela<\/strong>. I afegeix “aquests descobriments proposen que f\u00e0rmacs que promouen la interacci\u00f3 dels dos receptors serien una bona estrat\u00e8gia en el maneig de l’esquizofr\u00e8nia<\/em>“.<\/p>\n

En la seg\u00fcent fase de l’estudi, publicat a la revista Neuropsichopharmacology<\/em><\/a>, els investigadors demostren que el tractament cr\u00f2nic amb antipsic\u00f2tics cl\u00e0ssics, es a dir, que bloquegen els receptors dopamin\u00e8rgics, restableixen la interacci\u00f3 entre els dos receptors en models de ratol\u00ed. El que podria explicar l’efecte benefici\u00f3s d’aquests f\u00e0rmacs per alguns dels s\u00edmptomes de l’esquizofr\u00e8nia.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"

La interacci\u00f3 dels dos receptors comporta la inhibici\u00f3 de la via dopamin\u00e8rgica, que en el cas d’aquest trastorn es troba anormalment activa.
