En el context del c\u00e0ncer, ja s\u2019estudien f\u00e0rmacs que afecten espec\u00edficament cadascun d\u2019aquests processos com a estrat\u00e8gies terap\u00e8utiques. Aquest estudi identifica per primera vegada que aquelles c\u00e8l\u00b7lules que han tingut errors en la separaci\u00f3 dels cromosomes durant la mitosi, ja sigui per alteracions en la funci\u00f3 dels lisosomes o per altres causes, presenten, un cop dividides, el nucli amb morfologia toroidal.<\/p>\n
La Dra. Eug\u00e8nia Almacellas, primera autora del treball i membre de l\u2019IDIBELL i de la Facultat de Farm\u00e0cia i Ci\u00e8ncies de l’Alimentaci\u00f3 de la UB, indica que “la mitosi \u00e9s un proc\u00e9s r\u00e0pid que t\u00e9 lloc en una finestra de temps molt estreta, el que fa que detectar errors que pateixen un nombre molt redu\u00eft de c\u00e8l\u00b7lules en un prec\u00eds moment, sigui complex d\u2019assolir”. I afegeix “per aix\u00f2, la morfologia toroidal resulta un biomarcador tan interessant, ja que permet la detecci\u00f3 de c\u00e8l\u00b7lules que han patit errors mit\u00f2tics en una finestra temporal molt m\u00e9s amplia”.<\/p>\n
Fins ara, l\u2019\u00fanic biomarcador per determinar si una mol\u00e8cula creava inestabilitat cromos\u00f2mica era el micronucli. El treball liderat per la Dra. Mauvezin presenta el nucli toro\u00efdal com una nova eina complement\u00e0ria per detectar la inestabilitat cromos\u00f2mica.<\/p>\n

La participaci\u00f3 dels lisosomes i l\u2019autof\u00e0gia en la mitosi segueix sent un tema controvertit, hi ha treballs que asseguren que es troben inactius durant la divisi\u00f3 cel\u00b7lular per tal de protegir el material gen\u00e8tic, i altres que indiquen certa activitat d’aquests org\u00e0nuls. En el present estudi s’han analitzat diferents l\u00ednies cel\u00b7lulars tumorals, i s’ha vist que els lisosomes i l\u2019autof\u00e0gia no nom\u00e9s es troben actius, sin\u00f3 que s\u00f3n necessaris per la correcta divisi\u00f3 cel\u00b7lular.<\/p>\n
L\u2019equip d\u2019investigaci\u00f3 ha identificat m\u00e9s de 100 noves prote\u00efnes espec\u00edficament degradades pels lisosomes durant la mitosis. Entre elles, s\u2019han trobat prote\u00efnes directament implicades en la segregaci\u00f3 dels cromosomes, recolzant el paper essencial d\u2019aquests org\u00e0nuls per la correcta divisi\u00f3 cel\u00b7lular. Aquest treball serveix com a precedent per l\u2019estudi dels mecanismes responsables de la degradaci\u00f3 de les prote\u00efnes mit\u00f2tiques essencials per prevenir la inestabilitat cromos\u00f2mica.<\/p>\n
