\"\"La composici\u00f3 cel\u00b7lular dels tumors de c\u00e0ncer de c\u00f2lon<\/strong> \u00e9s heterog\u00e8nia, hi podem trobar des de c\u00e8l\u00b7lules diferenciades, semblants a les del mateix teixit del colon, fins a c\u00e8l\u00b7lules mare o pluripotents, responsables del creixement del tumor i la met\u00e0stasi. Un estudi publicat a la revista Cell Stem Cell<\/em><\/a> liderat pel Dr\u00a0 Edurad Batlle del l’Institut de Recerca Biom\u00e8dica (IRB<\/a>) i en que hi han participat l\u2019equip del Dr. Alberto Villanueva de l’IDIBELL<\/a>\/ICO<\/a>, demostra que la capacitat de sintetitzar prote\u00efnes, capacitat biosint\u00e8tica<\/strong>, \u00e9s la que converteix les c\u00e8l\u00b7lules en pluripotents i la que els hi permet contribuir en el creixement del tumor de manera il\u00b7limitada.<\/p>\n

Per estudiar la capacitat biosint\u00e8tica de les c\u00e8l\u00b7lules mare tumorals s’han utilitzat diversos models, entre ells, la implantaci\u00f3 de tumors de c\u00e0ncer colorectal humans en ratolins<\/strong>, model desenvolupat per l’equip del Dr. Villanueva. El conjunt dels models han posat en evid\u00e8ncia que en bloquejar la capacitat biosint\u00e8tica de les c\u00e8l\u00b7lules, o en eliminar les c\u00e8l\u00b7lules que tenen aquesta capacitat, es frena per complet el creixement tumoral, el que converteix aquesta funci\u00f3 en una diana ideal per a futurs tractaments.<\/p>\n

L’estudi descriu que la capacitat de produir prote\u00efnes es troba restringida a les regions del tumor on es troben les c\u00e8l\u00b7lules pluripotents, i que a m\u00e9s, els tumors presenten un gradient de producci\u00f3 de prote\u00efnes, i aquelles c\u00e8l\u00b7lules que han perdut aquesta capacitat per complet no poden tornar a l’estat de c\u00e8l\u00b7lules mare.<\/p>\n
