Lack of anesthesiologists acts as surgical bottleneck, as ALL patients must undergo a Pre-anesthetic Evaluation (PE) risk assessment. A high demand on Human Resources (9% of staff dedicated to PE) added to inefficiencies in PE process bring 1% to 3% last-minute cancelations due to poor preoperative preparation, even though >75% are low-risk profile patients.

In Catalonia healthcare system, 850,000 surgeries are performed every year. This number increases up to 6,500,000 surgeries in Spain and up to 350,000,000 worldwide annually. Only in Catalonia, last-minute cancelations imply 50,750,100 €. In this context, AIINANE can save 50% of above costs if applied to 100% of patients prior to surgery.

We merge anesthesiology and engineering to create an automated digital PE environment, significantly improving quality of care through a Ux-tested WebApp and an RPA software that autonomously processes patient data from Electronic Health Records and patients’ surveys, providing unique insights into risk levels.
