Cancers<\/em><\/a>, el foco se ha trasladado al estudio de la met\u00e1stasis en el melanoma uveal u ocular, una forma rara de melanoma con una gran tendencia a realizar met\u00e1stasis en el h\u00edgado. En este caso, el equipo del IDIBELL ha dilucidado el papel de los exosomas en la construcci\u00f3n de las condiciones \u00f3ptimas en el h\u00edgado para el recibimiento de c\u00e9lulas cancerosas durante el proceso metast\u00e1tico. Los exosomas son unas ves\u00edculas, cargadas de contenido molecular espec\u00edfico (prote\u00ednas, ADN, l\u00edpidos), que las c\u00e9lulas expulsan al medio y utilizan para comunicarse entre s\u00ed. Los investigadores han estudiado la carga proteica de aquellos exosomas liberados por las c\u00e9lulas del tumor primario de melanoma ocular, y han visto c\u00f3mo estas peque\u00f1as ves\u00edculas contribuyen a la migraci\u00f3n de las c\u00e9lulas tumorales y especialmente a la preparaci\u00f3n del nicho pre-metast\u00e1tico en el h\u00edgado.<\/p>\nEn definitiva, en ambos estudios, se ha comprobado la enorme plasticidad que demuestran las c\u00e9lulas cancerosas, capaces de alterar tanto la expresi\u00f3n g\u00e9nica como el microambiente tumoral para asegurar la met\u00e1stasis. Esta informaci\u00f3n tiene gran valor, ya que conocer los mecanismos por los que las c\u00e9lulas pueden configurar estos cambios es crucial para detenerlos y, por tanto, es esencial para el dise\u00f1o de futuras estrategias terap\u00e9uticas y diagn\u00f3sticas.<\/p>\n
