Los donantes fueron recibidos por el <strong>Dr. Miquel \u00c0ngel Pujana<\/strong>, jefe de grupo, y el equipo de investigaci\u00f3n en c\u00e1ncer de mama.<\/p>\n<p>Antes de empezar la visita, los investigadores explicaron su investigaci\u00f3n a los donantes y les agradecieron profundamente su solidaridad y compromiso. Posteriormente, la visita continu\u00f3 con una ruta guiada por los laboratorios d\u00f3nde los donantes pudieron conocer al resto del equipo y resolver todas las dudas que se les planteaban.<\/p>\n<p>Los donantes proced\u00edan, por un lado, de la asociaci\u00f3n <strong>Ginkgo APAC Bergued\u00e0<\/strong>, una asociaci\u00f3n sin \u00e1nimo de lucro, formada por pacientes oncol\u00f3gicos, familiares y voluntarios que organizan m\u00faltiples actividades para dar visibilidad a la enfermedad y eliminar tab\u00faes. Tambi\u00e9n hab\u00eda representantes de la <strong>iniciativa T\u00f3catelas<\/strong>, que promueven la prevenci\u00f3n del c\u00e1ncer de mama y organizan m\u00faltiples actividades solidarias. Y, por \u00faltimo, donantes particulares que en alguna ocasi\u00f3n han colaborado con el IDIBELL.<\/p>\n<p>El grupo de investigaci\u00f3n dirigido por el Dr. Pujana tiene como objetivo mejorar la prevenci\u00f3n y cuidado del c\u00e1ncer de mama mediante la identificaci\u00f3n y desarrollo de terapias precisas. Recientemente, describieron c\u00f3mo las c\u00e9lulas tumorales del c\u00e1ncer de mama formaban escudos de col\u00e1geno para evitar el ataque del sistema inmunitario, investigaci\u00f3n que pudieron realizar gracias a las donaciones solidarias.
