En el acto han asistido representantes de las asociaciones colaboradoras, Maria Gato, directora de la Asociaci\u00f3n, Carles Ruiz, alcalde de Viladecans, y el Dr. Gabriel Capell\u00e1, director del IDIBELL.<\/p>\n<p>Los fondos se destinar\u00e1n a la <strong>investigaci\u00f3n contra la COVID-19<\/strong>. \u201c<em>Encontrar marcadores gen\u00e9ticos que nos ayuden a identificar a aquellos pacientes con mayor riesgo de sufrir complicaciones nos puede permitir actuar a tiempo.\u201d <\/em>Explica el Dr. Gabriel Capell\u00e1, director del IDIBELL. \u201c<em>Tambi\u00e9n es importante determinar <strong>qu\u00e9 caracter\u00edsticas gen\u00e9ticas confieren resistencia frente al virus<\/strong>, ya que pueden ser \u00fatiles para dise\u00f1ar tratamientos.<\/em>\u201d Todo esto se est\u00e1 estudiando actualmente en el IDIBELL para contribuir, a trav\u00e9s de la <strong>medicina personalizada<\/strong>, a la mejora en la gesti\u00f3n de los pacientes en el tiempo de pandemia.<\/p>\n<p>Esta asociaci\u00f3n empez\u00f3 a colaborar con el IDIBELL en 2016, recogiendo fondos para la investigaci\u00f3n contra el c\u00e1ncer. A ra\u00edz de la crisis sanitaria, la Asociaci\u00f3n decidi\u00f3 redefinir su objetivo de forma excepcional para ayudar a financiar la investigaci\u00f3n sobre la COVID-19.
