B\u00e1rbara Rivera recibe el apoyo de la Fundaci\u00f3n Mutua Madrile\u00f1a para investigar una enfermedad rara infantil"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>La Fundaci\u00f3n Mutua Madrile\u00f1a, a trav\u00e9s de sus XVII Ayudas a la Investigaci\u00f3n en Salud, ha destinado 2,3 millones de euros a la investigaci\u00f3n m\u00e9dica en Espa\u00f1a. Ayer se dieron a conocer los 21 proyectos seleccionados para recibir la financiaci\u00f3n, entre los que se encuentran cuatro proyectos catalanes que recibir\u00e1n una financiaci\u00f3n total de m\u00e1s de 540.000 euros.<\/p>\n<p>La <strong>Dra. B\u00e1rbara Rivera<\/strong>, investigadora principal del Instituto de Investigaci\u00f3n Biom\u00e9dica de Bellvitge (<a href=\"https:\/\/idibell.cat\/es\/investigacion\/area-de-cancer\/programa-de-mecanismos-moleculares-y-terapia-experimental-en-oncologia-oncobell\/cancer-hereditario\/\">IDIBELL<\/a>) en el grupo de C\u00e1ncer Hereditario del programa Oncobell, y profesora adjunta de la Universidad McGill en Montreal, ha recibido financiaci\u00f3n para profundizar en el campo de las enfermedades raras que afectan a la infancia. Concretamente, la Dra. Rivera analizar\u00e1 el perfil de las <strong>alteraciones tiroideas<\/strong> en los s\u00edndromes asociados a mutaciones en genes implicados en la biog\u00e9nesis de microRNAs.<\/p>\n<p>El objetivo de la <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fundacionmutua.es\/\">Fundaci\u00f3n Mutua Madrile\u00f1a<\/a> con este programa anual de ayudas es mejorar los tratamientos m\u00e9dicos, y contribuir al mantenimiento y desarrollo de la investigaci\u00f3n cient\u00edfica.
