Actualmente no existe ning\u00fan tratamiento eficaz y el equipo de la doctora Pujol ha trabajado durante m\u00e1s de doce a\u00f1os desarrollando modelos animales para descifrar las bases fisiopatol\u00f3gicas de la enfermedad, descubriendo la implicaci\u00f3n del estr\u00e9s oxidativo en los primeros pasos de la cascada neurodegenerativa. El 26 de mayo los Pr\u00edncipes de Asturias han recibido los destinatarios de las ayudas en una audiencia en el Palacio de la Zarzuela. Los Pr\u00edncipes constituyeron la Fundaci\u00f3n Hesperia tras recibir en herencia m\u00e1s de cuatro millones de euros del inversor menorqu\u00edn Juan Ignacio Balada con la condici\u00f3n de que
