Investigadores del Instituto de Investigaci\u00f3n Biom\u00e9dica de Bellvitge (IDIBELL) y del Instituto Catal\u00e1n de Oncolog\u00eda (ICO), de los equipos liderados por la Dra. Conxi L\u00e1zaro y el Dr. Alberto Villanueva, e investigadores de la Universidad British Columbia de Vancouver, del equipo liderado por el Dr. Chris Maxwell, han recibido uno de los premios Drug Discovery Initiative (DDI) Awards, por parte de la Asociaci\u00f3n Americana de Tumores Infantiles (Children’s Tumor Foundation). Estos galardones se conceden anualmente con el fin de financiar estudios precl\u00ednicos tempranos enfocados a la b\u00fasqueda de nuevos f\u00e1rmacos para el tratamiento de la neurofibromatosis de tipo 1 y tipo 2 y las schwanomatosis.<\/p>\n
El proyecto premiado lleva por t\u00edtulo \u00abTratamiento de tumores MPNST asociados a la neurofibromatosis 1 con inhibidores de aurora kinasa\u00bb y ha sido galardonado con la m\u00e1xima retribuci\u00f3n por su categor\u00eda, con 50.000 d\u00f3lares.
