La conferencia \u00abSearch, validation and clinical translation of new therapeutic targets in Ewing sarcoma found by integrative genomic analyses\u00bb de Enrique de \u00c1lava, investigador del Centro de Investigaci\u00f3n del C\u00e1ncer (CIC), en el Hospital de la Universidad de Salamanca y el Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Cient\u00edficas (CSIC), tuvo lugar el pasado 9 de Noviembre en el IDIBELL.<\/p>\n
Para intentar trasladar a la investigaci\u00f3n cl\u00ednica, quiero introducir la g\u00e9nesis de este tumor en particular. Hay una heterogeneidad morfol\u00f3gica en el sarcoma de Ewing\u00bb, inici\u00f3 la charla el Dr. de \u00c1lava. En el sarcoma de Ewing (EWS), los investigadores utilizan la gen\u00e9tica, as\u00ed como an\u00e1lisis morfol\u00f3gicos para su estudio. Existe un evento molecular clave, como la fusi\u00f3n de genes, mutaciones o copia de alteraciones, que act\u00faan sobre los or\u00edgenes de c\u00e9lulas, junto con mutaciones adicionales. Hay algunos objetivos EWS-FLI1 y algunos factores que afectan a su actividad.<\/p>\n
\u00abPara explicar los episodios de EWS necesitamos algunas mutaciones o alteraciones epigen\u00e9ticas, como la mutaci\u00f3n del p53 o p16\/p14ARF. Hemos visto la importancia funcional del gen candidato Cdt2\u00bb, dijo el investigador.<\/p>\n
En el sarcoma de Ewing tambi\u00e9n son muy importantes el microambiente y el sistema inmunitario. Hay una jerarqu\u00eda en el tumor celular. Los investigadores necesitan una mejor comprensi\u00f3n molecular en el EWS y encuentran diferentes problemas: no hay lesiones preneopl\u00e1sicas ni \u201ctejido normal\u201d hom\u00f3logo ni tampoco existe un modelo animal gen\u00e9ticamente modificado disponible. Existe una disponibilidad de muestras intestinales y, aunque existes demasiados marcadores, muchos de ellos no son enzimas. \u00abEWS-FLI1 es un buen objetivo\u00bb, reconoci\u00f3 de \u00c1lava. \u00abPodemos utilizar una combinaci\u00f3n sin\u00e9rgica de drogas: dos dianas terap\u00e9uticas en la Fase I-II de los ensayos cl\u00ednicos en pacientes que no responden a GEIS21\u00bb, concluy\u00f3 el investigador.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
