Los or\u00edgenes de esta enfermedad son variados, y el grupo de inflamaci\u00f3n sinovial y Metabolismo \u00f3seo estudia tanto las causas, como los tratamientos asociados a esta afecci\u00f3n y las posibles complicaciones y relaciones con otras enfermedades como la osteoporosis.
\nParalelamente, el grupo tambi\u00e9n tiene un campo de estudio en las enfermedades autoinmunes sist\u00e9micas, que incluyen una gran variedad de enfermedades originadas por una reacci\u00f3n del propio sistema inmune hacia el cuerpo del paciente.\n
