Las c\u00e9lulas madre hematopoy\u00e9ticas (HSC) se consideran la base de la hematopoyesis en adultos. Actualmente, la mayor\u00eda de estos trastornos hematol\u00f3gicos son curables mediante trasplante de HSC. Sin embargo, la disponibilidad limitada de donantes compatibles \u00f3ptimos sigue siendo un desaf\u00edo, especialmente para individuos de origen no cauc\u00e1sico o de etnia mixta. Las c\u00e9lulas madre pluripotentes humanas (PSC), incluidas las c\u00e9lulas madre embrionarias (hESC) y las PSC inducidas (hiPSC), pueden diferenciarse in vitro<\/em> en varios tipos de c\u00e9lulas hematopoy\u00e9ticas y podr\u00edan representar una fuente ideal de HSC personalizadas para la aplicaci\u00f3n cl\u00ednica. Adem\u00e1s, las HSC derivadas de pacientes iPSC no solo representan un modelo invaluable de enfermedad hematol\u00f3gica, sino que tambi\u00e9n pueden proporcionar una plataforma basada en c\u00e9lulas para el cribado terap\u00e9utico.
