This project, involving doctors, researchers and patient groups across Europe, is funded by the European Union<\/span> <\/p>\n<p> Project coordinator in Spain is Virginia Nunes, head of the Human Molecular Genetics IDIBELL and professor of Genetics at the University of Barcelona, through their research on the Wolfram syndrome.<\/p>\n<p>The project was founded with the purpose of creating a register of rare diabetes syndromes such as Wolfram syndrome, Bardt-Bield or Alstr\u00f6m among others. The ultimate goal is to increase knowledge about these diseases and promote their application in clinical research.<\/p>\n<p>The project is funded by the Directorate General for Health and Consumers of the European Union (DG-SANCO) and has the participation of doctors, researchers and patient support groups from all over Europe.
