There is currently no effective treatment and Dr Pujol\u2019s team has worked for over twelve years developing animal models for deciphering the pathophysiological bases of the disease, discovering the involvement of oxidative stress in the early stages of the neurodegenerative cascade. <br \/> On May 26 the Prince and Princess of Asturias have received the recipients of the aids in an audience at the Palacio de la Zarzuela.
