They are Mar\u00eda Berdasco, research group of Cancer Epigenetics; Artur Llobet, research group of celular and Molecular Neurobiology; Cristina Mu\u00f1oz Pinedo, head of the research group of Cell Death regulation; Antoni Rodr\u00edguez-Fornells, head of the research group of Cognition and Brain Plasticity; and Jordi Montero, research group of Neurologic Diseases and Neurogenetics.<\/p>\n<p>The aid was announced during a ceremony held at the auditorium the Universitat Aut\u00f2noma de Bareclona on November 9, presented by the journalist Albert Om. The event was presided by the Catalan Minister of Health, Boi Ruiz; the rector of UAB, Ana Ripoll and the president of the Catalan Corporation of Audiovisual Media and director of La Marat\u00f3 de TV3, Enric Mar\u00edn. Adolf Tobe\u00f1a, professor of Medical Psychology and Psychiatry and director of the department of Psychiatry and Forensic Medicine at the UAB, completed the academic event with a keynote speech.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The projects<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In total, more than eight million and 700 thousand Euros raised during La Marat\u00f3 2010 funds 30 projects participated by 55 researchers. Among the research centres that receive funding, highlights IDIBELL with 5 winning projects as well as the Hospital Cl\u00ednic i Provincial de Barcelona, which together to the August Pi i Sunyer Biomedical Research Institute (IDIBAPS) and the Institute of Biomedical Research of Barcelona (IIBB), has obtained seven. The Autonomous University of Barcelona and the University of Barcelona have won four awards each.<\/p>\n<p>13 of the 30 funded projects are unitary and 17 are coordinated between two or more research centers, which implies the networking of research institutions in Catalonia with other Spanish and international level. Four Spanish research institutions and four international, coordinated by Catalan centers will work in developing this work. They are the Biomedical Research Center of Granada, Faculty of Medicine, University of Seville, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.carloshaya.net\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span class=\"enllac\">Hospital Carlos Haya<\/span><\/a>(M\u00e1laga), the National Paraplegics Hospital (Toledo), the Institut de G\u00e9nomique Fonctionnelle, University of Montpellier (France), the Aberdeen Institute of Medical Sciences (United Kingdom), the Pasteur Institute of Montevideo (Uruguay) and the Neuroscience Research Centre (Ireland).<\/p>\n<p>13 of the 30 funded projects are unitary and 17 are coordinated between two or more research centers, which implies the networking of research institutions in Catalonia with other Spanish and international level.
