The Association Against Cancer in Barcelona has held an event on the presentation of its 2022 research grants in Barcelona. In total, close to \u20ac24.5 million have been awarded to 195 grants (39 in Barcelona), 4 of them directed to the Bellvitge Biomedical Research Institute (IDIBELL), which has received \u20ac489.778, to increase the average survival of people with cancer and bring the results of the research to the patient.<\/p>\n

Dr. Laureano Molins, president of the Association Against Cancer in Barcelona, and Isabel Orbe, general director of the Scientific Foundation of the Spanish Association Against Cancer, presented the event and introduced the dialogue tables, the first with some of the researchers who benefit from the grants, among them Dr. Victor Moreno from IDIBELL and the Catalan Institute of Oncology. And, the second is a dialogue between Dr. Joan Seoane and the patient Enric Barba, under the theme “the patient at the center of the research”.<\/p>\n
