Synovial inflammation and bone metabolism

Summary

Arthritis is the inflammation of one or more joints, and involves cartilage degradation. This disease has a variety of origins, and the Synovial Inflammation and Bone Metabolism group studies both the causes and treatments associated with this condition, and the possible complications and relationships with other diseases such as osteoporosis.
Simultaneously, the group has an area of study on systemic autoimmune diseases, which include a wide variety of diseases caused by a reaction of the patient’s own immune system to the body.
