The subprogram of non-oriented basic research projects of the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness (MINECO) will fund seven IDIBELL projects with 448.000 euros, according to the preliminary resolution.

The goal of this program is the promotion of quality research, evidenced by the internationalization of activities and the enhancement of the results for their scientist and technology impact, and for their contribution to solving social, economic and technology problems. MINECO also seeks breaking the trend of fragmentation of research groups and encourage multidisciplinary research.

IDIBELL presented 12 projects to the call, seven of which have been approved and five have been excluded. The projects receiving funding from the Ministry are: The grants have been funding with the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
