The Health Connect-EU group, driven by ACC10 and AGAUR , presented the Strategic Agenda 2013 , a document that purports to be a picture of the strengths of Catalonia in health research and includes some of the research projects driven by Catalan groups focused on solving the issues raised by the social challenge of ” Health , demographic change and well-being ” of the European program Horizon 2020 .

The Strategic Research Agenda in Health has been defined from an open participatory process at Catalonia level . Experts from the promoters of action worked together the document that reflects the Catalan research priorities . This action seeks to highlight the potential Catalan within Horizon 2020 , the new framework program of the European Commission , as well as increase the return of European funding of schools, universities and companies working in the field of health.

A delegation of Health Connect-EU had previously presented the draft document to the European Comission General Directorates of Research and Innovation and Health.

The Catalan Institute of Oncology, Bellvitge University Hospital and IDIBELL are part of Connect-EU Group Health, which includes public and private actors (companies, business associations, universities and TECNIO centers) representing technological and scientific sectors pointers Catalonia .
