The IDIBELL Educational Committee aims to facilitate compliance and make proposals regarding the tasks carried out by the Directorate on aspects related to the training of IDIBELL researchers in order to improve or make amendments to them.

Equality Plan Monitoring Committee
The IDIBELL Equality and Diversity Management Committee aims to facilitate compliance with current legislation on equality and diversity management issues. In addition to drafting the Equality and Diversity Management Plan, its functions include providing advice to the management on matters related to compliance with equality laws and the evaluation of the institute’s equality indicators.
The Committee members have a commitment to confidentiality, with this body acting as a means to resolve issues related to harassment on the grounds of sex, race, religious beliefs or geographic origin.

Biosafety committee
Biosafety refers to the collection of measures (organisation, work practices, design of facilities, safety equipment, etc.) aimed at safeguarding and protecting humans, animals, plants and the environment against any and all agents, factors and risks of biological origin.
The main duties of the IDIBELL Biosafety Committee are to evaluate the risk of biosafety for projects initiated in the institution, to support training activities for users of rooms with biosafety levels of 2 or higher, to propose improvements to processes or protocols, and to advise the centre management on all Biosafety matters.
Works Council
The Works Council is the representative body for workers in the company and defends their interests. Committee members are elected democratically for mandates of 4 years, and the number of representatives is based on the number of workers hired by the company.
Research Ethics Committee with medicines (CRE/CREm)
The Research Ethics Committee with medicines (CRE/CREm) is committed to safeguarding the rights, safety and wellbeing of human beings taking part in any research projects which may involve physical or psychological risk, and to provide public guarantees, while evaluating the correct conduct of the projects and monitoring their development.

Ethical Committee for Animal Experimentation
The Ethical Committee for Animal Experimentation of the Bellvitge Biomedical Research Institute (CEEA-IDIBELL) is the body responsible for ensuring the care and welfare of the animals housed in the IDIBELL Animal Facility Service (Registration number B9900010), ensuring the proper functioning of the animal facility and the prevention of occupational hazards within this space. It was approved by the competent authority (Government of Catalonia, May 14, 1998).

Regenerative Medicine CEI
The Research Ethics Committee of the extinct Barcelona Regenerative Medicine Center Foundation (CMR [B]) acts today within the functional framework of the Bellvitge Biomedical Research Institute (IDIBELL), maintaining the competencies that were attributed to it by the Additional Provision of Decree 406/2006, of October 24, which regulates the requirements and the accreditation procedure of clinical research ethics committees.
This committee centralizes the function, with autonomic scope, of evaluating and reporting on projects with stem cells, regardless of the center where they are planned to be carried out. The Regenerative Medicine CEI oversees research projects, ensuring that they are correct from a methodological, ethical and legal point of view, and take into account all possible physical, biological or psychological risks for human beings.

Research integrity committee (CIR)
The Research Integrity Committee (CIR) is a body constituted, from the Management initiave, by research staff of the center on a free and voluntary basis, aimed at promoting knowledge and internal adoption of the code of good practices. Likewise, the CIR will arbitrate the consultations and conflicts that may arise, and will assist, when necessary, the Ombudsperson.
The CIR acts independently (from the Management), at the service of the IDIBELL research staff who adhere to the IDIBELL's Guide to Best Practices in Health Sciences Research, with the sole objective of supporting the quality of the research and help preserve its integrity.

PhD Committee
The PhD Committee consists of seven representatives of doctoral students. Its main functions are to give voice to the rest of the doctoral community in all of the institute's committees, to organize the annual "PhD Day", to organize and moderate bi-monthly "Fellow's Seminars" and to edit the monthly "PhD Issues" among others.
