Neuroscience studies the nervous system, both at the level of its biological functioning, and advancing in understanding the diseases that affect it.

IDIBELL has 12 research groups in neuroscience, and the projects they carry out have as their final mission to advance knowledge to improve the health and quality of life of people. Among others, we study neurodegenerative and neurometabolic diseases, we work to implement new neuroimaging techniques and in genomics, and we investigate the molecular and cellular bases of neurotransmission and cerebral plasticity.
