The 3rd SLHAM of women scientists will take place on Saturday, February 8 at 7 pm at the Auditori Barradas, in L’Hospitalet. Nine women researchers and professionals from the Bellvitge Biomedical Research Institute (IDIBELL) will participate. Each of them will explain their work concerning research and innovation through a five-minute informative talk. The 2020 edition of the SLHAM will be carried out by the researchers Virginia Nunes, Susana Jiménez, Antonella Consiglio, Meritxell Rovira, Pilar Muro and Sara Larriba; by Cristina Mayordomo, strategic project manager, Lola Mulero, histology specialist, and Marina Rigau, director of strategy. And it will be led by Olga Bellorbí, head of economic management and administration of IDIBELL and actress.
The event will feature the musical performance of the Crashmanouche formation of the Municipal School of Music – L’Hospitalet Arts Center. The audience will actively participate in the event by choosing, by popular vote, the best presentation of the SLHAM. The event will raise funds in the form of voluntary contributions from the audience. They all will be destined entirely to the solidarity project of IDIBELL Save lives.
The sLHam of woman scientists will commemorate the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, and is organized in collaboration with the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECY). The initiative has the support of the L’Hospitalet de Llobregat city council, the Pessics de Ciència cycle and the Barradas Auditorium.
