Scientific culture
As a centre that generates biomedical and health knowledge, IDIBELL is committed to the dissemination of science, education and the social return of investment in research. Our educational and outreach programs include an open day; seminars about the impact of research on medical practice; audiovisual programs; guided visits to the laboratories aimed at patients, donors, teaching teams and students; a city educational project; participation in scientific dissemination events and festivals; or the promotion of transversal projects with cultural agents in the field of artistic creation. All this, with clear objectives: to promote critical thinking, to promote researching vocations and to strengthen the roots of the scientific culture as an engine of well-being and of a change in the social and economic model.
Scientific Culture and Innovation Unit (UCC+i)
IDIBELL follows the model on responsible research and innovation (RRI) that the European Union proposes and is developing. Proof of this was the creation, at the end of 2017, of the Scientific Culture and Innovation Unit (UCC+i), accredited by the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECyT). The IDIBELL UCC+i is the coordinating entity for the communication of R+D+i results, the general dissemination of scientific knowledge, and the guidance and training of research staff in the field of dissemination.
