Andrea Urbina and Cristina Subirana, both nurses at the Bellvitge University Hospital (HUB), have been awarded the Young Talent Award in the VII Edition of the Tenim Talent Awards of the Catalano-Balearic Nursing Society. The awards will be presented on May 30 in the Auditorium of the Academy of Medical and Health Sciences of Catalonia and the Balearic Islands.
In the Research category, Andrea Urbina, nurse in the Quality, Methodology and Knowledge Area of the HUB, predoctoral researcher, secretary of the GRIN-IDIBELL Nursing Research Group and associate professor at the University of Barcelona, has been recognized for her outstanding contribution. The preliminary results of her doctoral thesis have already been awarded by the Official College of Nurses of Barcelona, the Catalan Society of Emergency Medicine and the General Nursing Council.
In the Hospital Care category, Cristina Subirana, Advanced Practice Nurse (IPA) in Respiratory Diseases and Thoracic Surgery at the HUB and associate professor at the University of Barcelona, was awarded. Subirana works with a multidisciplinary team in an innovative study on the intestinal microbiota in patients treated with pulmonary antifibrotics. In fact, in recent years she has trained in nutrition and dietetics, which has led her to teach solidarity workshops for patients with lung and breast cancer on cancer prevention with diet and lifestyle, in addition to disseminating information. with his social media project @healthyfoodiecris.
The Tenim Talent Awards aim to recognize young nurses with exceptional talent, ability, skills and attitudes. The awards are intended for young professionals with charisma and a high impact in their area of experience and future projection. Candidates must be born no later than 1989 to be able to apply.
