Multimedia material. We bring science closer to society

Starting on October 23, the website sinergia.l-h.cat will hold the virtual aspect of Sinergia. Six new monologues from the successful series Stand-up Science will be released, which gives a voice to the youngest IDIBELL researchers to talk about their research in a different way, through YouTube, and with a humorous scientific monologue. This is a project created thanks to the alliance between Torre Barrina, the L’Hospitalet City Council, and IDIBELL.

Two new Quinaciència! capsules will then be presented, where the researchers will talk about their research, their motivations, and their objectives. This year, the series will star Julián Cerón, a specialist in genetic modification techniques, and Ramon Alemany, who studies the use of viruses in cancer therapy.

There will also be room for the dissemination of health innovation, a process that aligns basic research with the interests of clinical practice. This year, the Tapes d’Innovació capsules will focus on disseminating the development of a biological drug to resolve immuno-inflammatory processes, the project to use stem cells to produce meat in the laboratory, the use of E-extendía, a video game for treating impulsivity and gambling addiction, and, finally, the operation of the Pediatric Computational Imaging Center of Sant Joan de Deu.

Sinergia is the L’Hospitalet health research and innovation festival, led by the L’Hospitalet City Council and framed in the strategic project 4locaLHealth: Research, Innovation, and Health in the territory through personalized medicine (PECT, co-financed with European FEDER funds).
