On June 17 the hall of the Ministry of Health Department of the Generalitat of Catalonia hosted the signing of the cooperation agreement between the Institute of Biomedical Research of Bellvitge (IDIBELL) and the Universidad Autónoma de Nueva León (UANL), Monterrey, Mexico. The event was attended by the Director General of Health Planning and Research Carlos Constante, the UANL rector, Jesus Ancer Rodriguez, the vice-rector of research at the University of Barcelona, ​​Jordi Alberch and the director of the IDIBELL, Jaume Reventós.

The agreement aims to increase the scientific and academic cooperation between the two institutions. This milestone will be implemented through various projects among which the exchange of doctoral students.

Before signing the agreement, the UANL delegation visited IDIBELL laboratories, the new pharmacy of the Catalan Institute of Oncology and also enjoyed a panoramic view of the campus of Bellvitge from the eighth floor of the Hospital Duran i Reynals.
