Live the science! From 14 to 23 November it is the Science Week

One year the Catalan Foundation for Research and Innovation (FCRI) organizes the Science Week in Catalonia which celebrates its 19th edition from 14 to 23 November. This celebration of science brings hundreds of acts of dissemination of scientific and technological knowledge in Catalonia. Here you can access the calendar

The central themes of this year are crystallography and biotechnology to celebrate this 2014, the International Year of Crystallography and Biotechnology Year.

Opening Day at the Parliament of Catalonia

This year’s Science Week opens in Parlament de Catalunya with the conference “We may eradicate HIV in infected people?. Role of therapeutic vaccine “by Bonaventura Clotet, director of the AIDS Research Institute IrsiCaixa

and chief of the HIV Unit at Trias i Pujol Hospital.

As a novelty, the opening ceremony will be followed, in the Palace of the Parliament by one of the central events of SC’14: Vaccines day, science and society, organized by the Institute of Catalan Studies (IEC) and supported FCRI Parliament Advisory Council on Science and Technology (CAPCIT) and with the participation of researchers in the research group of Infections and Cancer at ICO-IDIBELL Xavier Bosch and Silvia San Jose.
